to select among five different areas within the exhibit hall to meet
their specific needs.
Book Village
The
main goal of the Book Village is to expose both children and adults to
a wide range of English- and Spanish- language books. The Book Village
is ideal for bookstores, publishing houses, retailers and other publications.
Readers of Latino newspapers purchase an average of 25 books
a year. Typical exhibitors: Book Publishers, bookstores and magazines.
Village Activities: Authors read from their books
do book signings. The Youth & Adult Writing Exhibition can also be found
in this village.
Careers & Eduction Village
This
entire village has been created to provide answers for students looking
for options in higher education and for parents hoping to improve the
quality of their children's primary and secondary education. It was designed
for colleges and universities, prep schools, corporate recruiters and
government agencies. This village also helps those looking for employment.
Typical exhibitors: Colleges and Universities, prep
schools, corporate employment departments and government agencies.
Village Activities: Seminars on resume preparation
and how to select the best college to meet your needs.
Culture & Travel Village
The
Culture & Travel Village is a perfect match for artist, arts and crafts vendors,
clothing vendors, jewelry makers and cultural organizations such as museums
and art galleries. This village celebrates the importance that culture
plays in our daily lives.
Typical exhibitors: Artists, cultural organizations,
media organizations, educational institutions and entertainment companies.
Also a variety of clothing, arts, and crafts are found here. A great place
for gift shopping.
Village Activities: Special tributes to artists and
tributes to Latino history makers.
Health Village
Nothing
is more important than accurate information when it comes to matters of
health. This village is ideal for HMO's, insurance companies, hospitals,
health care professionals and fitness vendors.
Typical exhibitors: Hospitals, HMO's, insurance companies,
health care professionals and nutritional experts.
Village Activities: Sessions on the importance of
testing and regular checkups, and how to accomplish it all within your
budget. Seminars on such specific health-related problems as arthritis,
cholesterol and diabetes.
Mi Casita Village
Home
ownership is rising rapidly among Latinos. Visitors to this Village will
learn how to intelligently buy, furnish, and maintain a home. Mi Casita
Village was designed for banks, home furnishings companies, insurance
providers, realtors, automobile dealerships, department store retailers
and food companies.
Typical exhibitors: Home furnishing, food companies,
computers, household items, banks, insurance companies, Realtors, home
remodelers and pool builders. Car dealers will also find a receptive audience.
Village Activities: Seminars sharing ways to buy
and furnish a home. The Science Discovery Area and the Kid's Play Area
are both located in this village.
