CHASE HOME FINANCE RETURNS AS CO-SPONSOR OF
THE SAN DIEGO LATINO BOOK AND FAMILY FESTIVAL

Latino writing talent

Chula Vista, CA, May 16, 2004 -As part of its ongoing commitment to increase literacy and home ownership among Latinos in the United States, Chase Home Finance co-sponsored the Latino Book and Family Festival for the third consecutive year. Held recently on the campus of Southwestern College in Chula Vista, the festival included two Chase Homebuyer Seminars that provided potential homeowners with valuable tips on how to navigate the mortgage and home-buying process.
It also played host to the Chase HOME Center, and a book signing by Diana L. Guerrero (center), animal trainer and world-renowned author of What Animals Can Teach Us About Spirituality: Inspiring Lessons from Wild and Tame Creatures. Chase Home Finance Loan Consultant Clara B. Araiza-Varela (right) is pictured here in front of the Chase HOME Center visiting with Guerrero and “Juanita”, an Australian-born wallaby. Joining them is Jim Sullivan, the director of the Latino Book and Family Festival. The Chase HOME Center, is one of two full-sized commercial buses that feature computer workstations and Internet access to a variety of Spanish and English Web sites. During the next several months, the HOME Center will make appearances at numerous festivals, conferences and other events around the state.
